So I brought my truck in for an alignment on Wednesday. Since the alignment, I noticed a clunk coming from the front end when I cut the wheel to the right and begin rolling from a stop. It has happened a couple of times backing up from a stop with the wheel cut as well. Have not noticed it when turned to the left. Its loud enough to cause some concern.

Truck has just under 60k miles, only 2500 under my ownership. Recently installed Bilstein 5100s up front set at 2.1. The rest of the suspension, tie rods, ball joints, everything, I believe, is still original to the truck.

I plan on bringing it back to Firestone to have them look at it, but wondering what it might be. Anyone ever see this before?

Thanks
Mario

Did you ever figure this out? Typically a clunk turning is a bad tierod..

Yes, something was a tad loose and caused the alignment to get out of spec again. I went back to Firestone and they re-aligned it. No clunk since.

Did you follow the instructions for washer placement on the Bils? I have read several members installing it incorrectly and causing issues with the strut mount plate and the shock shaft punching through.

Yes, thank you. Bils were installed 100% correctly. The clunk is long gone since it was re-aligned a week or so after the initial visit. She drives straight and smooth right now.
