Comparison for Intake Sounds

Ram across this on youtube and was thinking? Does the S&B intake also make this much of a difference over stock intake setup in sound?

K&N is annoyingly loud on these trucks. The S&B is only slightly louder than stock.

The K&N was for sure noticeable after i put it on but i like loud... But after i put my Rustmaster muffler on i couldnt hear it anymore.

I agree, I do appreciate it! Do you have stock exhaust or aftermarket? Either way if you can do a before and after of an in cab video of both intakes at WOT that would be great!

I don't have a video but for me I can t even notice a difference in sound with my S+B intake. If I had my time back I'd try another because I prefer it to be on the loud side..

Hey Kot. I'm very pleased with my Air Raid. It sounds really good when you're romping on it. It quiets down nicely when cruising. Supposidly adds HP, also. It looks cool, if that matters.

My Spectre CAI is similar to the K&N with just a different box shape. I can't hear mine at all, maybe it has something to do with my exhaust being loud but I would think if it sounded like that video I would hear.

Either way I don't care

I have an S&B installed and it was really noticibly louder than stock, so I installed the plug in the lower intake port, which made it a bit quieter. I have since installed a Mufflex 24 and Moe's 5 inch tips and now you can barely notice it. I am going to remove the plug to get a little bit more sound out of it.
