I have a 2006 ram 1500 megacab with a 5.7 hemi but it’s blown. I bought a hemi out of a 2008 ram 2500. My question is, would the crankshaft tone ring be different between the two engines?

Your 2006 has MDS a 2500 engine does not otherwise it should be plug and play I will double check tho minus a few sensors here and there You would have to tune out/disable MDS for sure.

No it doesn't. He has a MegaCab, those come with a 2500 frame & running gear, which include a non-MDS engine.
Regardless it's the same tone wheel. It is a drop in, the only things that might stop it from being completely plug and play are sensor/harness variations between years; you can use your sensors on the replacement engine.
