crappy Auto Start

On my 15 EcoDiesel I haven't tried remote start for distance over about 75ft but at that distance it has not failed yet. My only negative remote start experience was remote starting then opening the door and inserting the remote without turning it or getting in the truck and closing the door to talk to a friend. As soon as I closed the door it relocked itself with the remote in the switch the engine running and me outside locked out. I was away from home so had to call a locksmith to come and slim jim the door lock.

Yes, however the OP has a 2017 Limited model, which means he has the newer FOB and push button start, so this issue would not apply to his situation. For lower end models and/or older models like my 2012 that have the FOB like yours, what you said may apply.

I have a 2017 built in June of 17 and my fob is the same as this one..
