Cruise control HELP!!!

Well driving to work this morning my cruise control won't engage after 59mph..... If I try to accelerate it will kick out and I have to slow down to 59 just for it to come back on manually. After 60 the cruise light won't even turn on?? Any body know wat goin on?

Any check engine lights by chance? Mine wouldnt work once before when I had a light on.

No check engine lights or anything. Everything g is working, except when I get to 60 lol it started to get colder here in north Florida, around the 40's, so I'm hoping its the cold weather causing it.... But if it were why would cold weather cause it??

I wouldn't think the change in temp had anything to do woth it. I have had the CC on the 07 on in temps from 10 degrees to 110. Sounds like somethin has gone wrong with the thinker on your truck.

I would start with the cheapest route and go to one of the local auto parts places to see if the truck has thrown a code. If not it sounds like an issue that the stealer will have to look at.

Wats the key trick again??? I have my programmer and it will show codes if there are any....

I think the key trick is turn the key from off to on 3 times ending with "on" without starting the truck

Update, I went on a break and did the key trick and did a diagnostic check through the programmer, no codes or anything.... Didn't get to drive it but hopefully it won't do it on the way home.... I go up and down toooo many stairs to be holding my foot on the gas lol

My cruise controll did the same thing in the cold (-10 c ) last winter.
1 time ag about 50 mph but worked 5 min later. No codes.
I assumed it had to do with temperature?
Never haf the problem again

Well mine is still doing it. Are there any modules, or anything like that that could be causing it to kick out?

Possible vacuum leak? When the throttle is open you are losing vacuum. So maybe check for a vacuum leak. That's my best guess
