Hi Ya'll
2016 Ram sport... cruise control like the rest not working all the time...I read another post that said to bang on the steering column... my have to do that a couple times but it will eventually turn on... anyone have this issue and tried that? what can i do to fix it? I'm worried the airbag my pop the next time...

If your cruise control sporadically works and you don't have a CEL, you probably need to either replace the switch in the steering wheel or it's connection is loose.

It may be a thing called the Clockspring

There are wires that go from the steering wheel buttons & go to the center of the of the steering wheel, then travel down along the steering wheel column.

If there was not a device that keeps those wires from twisting as you turn the steering wheel all the way to the right & left, those wires would snap off.
The device that they use is called the Clockspring
