    I generally peel off what I can and pour some rubbing alcohol on it which usually softens it up a bunch. I just use a rag to rub off the excess.

    The eraser wheel method might be the easiest though. I haven't had the chance to use one yet.

    If you don't have an eraser wheel I would use something like goo gone and even a heat gun to Soften it up.

    Use a hair dryer to heat the remaining glue up and roll it off with your fingers. Then use goo-gone or goof-off and a microfiber cloth to clean the residue off.
