Tried explaining mine above but I'll try this way too...

Instead of putting the ball and nutsert flush and trying to turn it from there, pull it out a little bit and apply pressure somehow to hold the cinching part so it isn't free to spin. Eventually it will be good enough and start sucking the ball mount TO the tailgate. As stated, don't over tighten.

This makes sense, I'll give it a try.

The nutsert is in and it's flush and tight. If I have to take it out, I have no clue how to get it out without F'ing up a brand new truck!!!

The ball mount won't thread into the nutsert. It's like it's too short to reach the threads inside the nutsert. I'll have to post a pic tomorrow...thanks!!!
