83 lb tires?!? Are you filling them full of rocks? Are they solid? Lol

Yeah I have the website to silicon intakes they are just expensive and I'm not sure I want to buy from them yet. I'm going to check some parts stores nears me to see if I can get them today.

New Patriot Tires Torque M/T | 35x12.50 R 17 LT

Lol sorry, they're just a bit over 74lbs. I was thinking of one of their bigger tires. Saw a youtube video that a guy was doing a 20k mile review of them from his 2015/2016 Ram 2500 CC LB, and they still had .414" left, or about 13/32nds, which they start with 19/32nds. So if you figure 20k miles over 6/32nds, that's almost a 50k mile tire, on a big diesel. They'll pull more than that from my truck lol... if my truck even lasts that long!

Drove it around the block today and got it up to about 65. Runs good but I kept blowing an intercooler boot off so I had to buy a nice clamp from oreilys to stop that. She sounds damn good with the whistle from the turbo. Brakes work good and power steering is smooth as well. I still need to build an intake to the turbo side. I also need to get the shifter cable to work properly because I had to put the e brake on and get under the truck to change gears.

How'd she feel going 65?

Feels good. Drove it more today and got some things done. Hood pins are done. Built and painted the intake. Painted a few accent things and the struts in the engine bay. ******* a bunch of wiring. I also ended up pulling the thermostat out because it doesn't seem to be working correctly and the pump was forcing water out of the reservoir. I shouldn't have bought a cheap brand but I don't think I even need a thermostat anyway, doesn't get cold enough here.

It works still but I need to buy the 94 to 98 Cummins compressor and have lines built so I can have ac again.

I figured you would have to do the conversion, man it was hot today and right on time the A/C quits again... So the thermostat is the only issue and she's ready to roll coal?

Dang that sucks. Yeah I have to convert it because the old 90 compressor uses r12 and we have r134 systems. Yeah seems to be, other than the intercooler boot that keeps blowing off because it is a cheap one from oreilys. I have my good ones that are supposed to be here Wednesday.

I'm waiting on my glowshift vacuum gauge and my 4 gauge a pillar holder to show up. I want to make sure my vacuum is working properly so I know I have brakes. Im going to have a 3 gauge a pillar for sale soon if anybody is interested in it.

So a bit of unfortunate news. The motor has a blown head gasket. I drove it the other night and it kept blowing the coolant out of the reservoir. It is bubbling like a shaken up soda in the radiator and there is oil in the coolant. I've only put about 10 miles on it since I put it in so I can only attribute it to the motor sitting for so long and possibly the gasket has become brittle. Plus the fact that the new turbo is putting in a lot more boost than the old h1c did. I seriously thought about changing the gasket with the motor out but tried to get away without doing it. Either way I'm taking the head off in the truck and going to have it checked and decked. I should have it off tonight or tomorrow night. I'm pretty confident it should be okay because there isn't any coolant in the oil but I'm going to go ahead and put arp studs in it and a brand new Cummins gasket. Should only take me a week or so to get it done. Will update with pictures soon. At least she will be pretty bullet proofed.
