Good question. I haven't heard/read anything definitive. Anyone else? Maybe no news is 'good' news (??). Every year for the last 5 years I read chatter which claim it's being discontinued, and then it isn't. So I'd want to get the news from a quality source. One thing that complicates matters is the slated release of the Electric Ram truck later in 2024. To what extent that affects the Classic Ram, hard to say. Probably not at all.

As long as they're still selling (which 'seems' to be the case) my hunch is Chrysler will continue to sell them.

On July 10th, they will start building just about all the 2024 Rams

Light Duty Trucks
Chrysler

Well, it looks like they changed the date for Ram 1500s
they delayed Ram 1500s Production Start Up

I hope the Classic goes away for good. Keeping it keeps the price higher on the new ones. Who wants a 12 year old looking new RAM?

I don't think it keeps the price high, 5th gens are in line with Ford and GM pricing. It actually allows guys to get a brand new truck for a cheaper price, it's the best value in the market.

Ram must be making a killing on these classics, the tooling is long paid for.

It cost Stellantis millions to make gas & diesel engines
That millions is either paid to the US Gov't or companies like electric car companies, has to do with Carbon Emissions fines

That is the reason the HEMI & Eco-diesels are being taken off the new vehicle market

Going off some speculation, the other day seen a Ram truck commercial with Gen5 Warlock. Odds are they won't offer the same trim package in both generations.
If the Classic is still available for '24 I'm guessing it will probably be limited to fleet purchases and a basic trim like the Tradesman.

After having owned a 5th gen for 4.5 years (and gotten that "I want the latest version" thing out of my system), if my truck was totalled and needed to be replaced I'd be getting a 4th gen in a heartbeat. The 5th gen still rides nicer and is a bit more refined in the interior, but the classic these days is generally a lower trim level anyway (can't get leather, for example) and I actually like a basic truck.

These trucks are a great value compared to other brand new trucks.

I've never seen this mentioned anywhere, but between my 4.5 gen HD and my Classic, I actually prefer the old dash design, it is lower and makes the cabin feel more roomy.

I gotta admit…i kinda like the look of the classic body style better personally. But i do like the extra room in the back seat that the 5th gen offers.
My crew cab classic has more room in the back vs my Tahoe I think. Very roomy!
