Recently ordered a 22 Ram Classic Tradesman w/cloth bench seats.
Another site shows 22 Classics start production in early November.

Did not order the CD player. Pretty sure the center jump
seat has only the one compartment on top with opening lid.

Anybody have 2013-2018 Ram with bench seats and CD player?

Does the CD player get you a different center jump seat
with a compartment that opens for the CD player?

How much extra storage is in that compartment with the CD player?

Is there enough extra storage in there to make it worth the cost
of adding CD player (that I probably would never use)?
or does the CD player take up most of the space in that compartment?

There are no pictures on the RAM site.
If anybody has the CD player with bench seats and has
pictures of where it is installed, would be appreciated.

Not sure if dealer could change my order to add the CD player
or if it would be worth it to get some extra storage under jump seat.

Thanks.

Why add a CD player to the truck when you can rip your entire CD library to MP3 and put them all on a thumb drive. Then your all your CDs are at your finger tips without having to change disks.
As for the CD player with the bench seat is under the seat part. You might be able to add it after the fact and program it with AlfaOBD.

It does have a different tray under the seat. They sell a blank tray for the lower that deletes the CD player housing entirely to increase the storage. With the CD player removed you can get pretty creative with the housing that remains if you don't want to replace the tray...

I bought a junkyard jumpseat with the lower tray (no CD player), and swapped the lower half with the non-tray seat that came with my '21. The fabric is a little different, but you can't tell since it's hidden by the main seats.

Thanks stembridge--sounds like a good way to go since I would never use CD player.
I ordered a '22 regular cab, so the extra storage would be nice.

Nice Inox 92. What kind of mount or lock is that holding it in the tray?

Its just a Desantis (I believe) thumb break holster. I bought the jump seat to replace my non under seat storage jump seat. The CD player area is packed with memory foam tightly which keeps the holster from coming out with the pistol. A bonus is that the sides of the CD housing hold 92 mags perfectly!

It was meant to be. I'm impressed that fits so perfectly. I may see if I can somehow secure a holster in mine. I'm currently resorting to just leaving the EDC in the center tray, which is concerning if there are other small items in there that could wedge themselves between the trigger guard and trigger over bumps.

A full size 92A1 fits so I bet yours will too. I didn't dremel anything but I would if need be as I have no interest in a CD player. You can also buy the blank tray but like you, I didn't want it bouncing around so the retention in the CD housing is nice. Any holster that holds its form should do and I used an old memory foam mattress topper to fill l the void and hold the holster the thumb break isn't necessary on mine because its pretty snug, but I use it because its there.
