I'm not entirely sure how well it would work. George seems to be better with these things thats why I just stuck with a new single DIN when I got my new deck.

I would use 1/4" mdf. Start with a rectangle (obviously), cut the inside to a snug fit for the radio. Cut the outside 1/4" - 3/8" larger. Than bevel the outside edge so it would blend into the stock bezel and round off the corners a bit.

Hey silver, were there any special conectors or anything you had to get to hook it up properly? I know they make a video park-mode bypass, but anything to make it work witht the truck?

Hey bullet, did you buy a dash mount, or use a different one or what? How did you get it to fit in there correctly, after you cut the bezel?
made my own brackets. the dash kit wont line up and is too big for the bezel

Sweet! I wanna see how you mounted it in the slot... (NOT ******!)

So I know you had to cut the bezel, but the dash mount they sent wouldn't even fit when you cut the bezel? That sucks, how did you make your own mounts?

$260 seems like a great price. The one I've been looking at is $799 on Crutchfield and that's after a $300 price break.

And no apology necessary...I didn't mean to insinuate that I was rushing you, this is not something I'm doing for a few months.

So what are your plans? You gonna fiberglass the bezel, sand and paint, or do something different?

And is that first pic the mounts your using? Or the ones that came with the unit that your not using?
