I am almost ready to pull the trigger on a TQ, but I wanted to hear what you guys have to say. I am pretty much a rookie at this stuff, but I have come across some incredibly knowledgeable guys on this forum! Any tips and reviews are greatly appreciated :) Thanks a bunch!

BTW, I will need to have a shop do the install due to my "rookie-ness" Lol!

Convert, for now.

You'll like it. Matt sells them and make a great improvement. These Rams are similar to all the LS based GM products...all can score well with a nice, mild converter.

I just installed my 2800 stall Edge converter yesterday. Unfortunately, the roads have been wet, so I haven't been able to get any traction to do a decent run. As soon as the roads clear off, I will post a video of a launch off idle with my big 33x12.50x20 tires just to show what the converter is capable of.

Can't wait to see it Matt! That will push me over the "Edge" on ordering mine (pun intended)!

I've had an Edge 2800 since 2011,

Best mod (short of my Supercharger) EVAR!
instant seat of the pants impact!

I dropped my 60' from 2.2-2.3 (RCSB 4x4 3.55;s) to 1.8's
and my 0-60 went to 5.0 flat but need to use 4wd for a full throttle launch.

It also makes for better shift recovery on all your full throttle up-shifts.

Drives like normal until you push the go pedal a bit past half way,
where it can light up the rear tires at will in 2WD.

Downside? None for me, I have a 4x4 with a 4-auto (like AWD) option
that kicks the front drive shaft in if rear slip is detected.
I can actually get a second gear scratch with mine IN 4WD (did I mention superchargers ROCK!)

I could see where a 2WD may have issues,
you won't be able to use full throttle from a dead stop unless you have some awesome sticky DR's or slicks.

My new trans is bumping up to an ATS Triple Disc 3000 stall for better grab behind my 500whp supercharger.

The 2800 Edge pegs the tach to 3400 due to the extra HP
(1.7's for my 60 footer track times)

My edge 2800 was the best mod I ever did. Made the truck feel 20 times better.

Did the edge 2800 stall converter as my first mod, shift recovery is probably my favorite part about it. Now with a 93 octane hemifever tune and a Vararam my shift from first to second stays right at 3950-4000 RPM. And I also have towed with it, you can tell the converter isn't liking it but my trans temps stayed around 150* for a 700 mile trip one way.

I've realized that I need to do 4.10 gears and lsd before the TC. I already have a traction problem, the TC will add to that. Probably need wider, stickier tires, too. I actually love this snow-ball effect! Gives me excuses to do more mods! :)

Thanks for the feedback. First the gear swap, next the Edge TC!!!
