Engine shutting off

Hello all, new to site, having an issue with engine sitting off ,beeping starts, dash goes crazy flashing then dies. Happened bout a year ago , changed batteries ,all batt cables but driver pos, cleaned all terminals and connections at engine, all was fine til recently started again . Code gave me a “intermittent power lose to ecm” engine is all stock, no deletes or tunes 170k miles

07 2500 6.7 cummins throwing p2509 code, happened yesteday, first time since last August, new batt,cables ,cleaned all connections,took to shop, said ecm was bad and only wanted 5k plus to replace, so long story short, took el paso route,kept driving , no issues while ambient temp was below 85 deg, til yesterday, heating up here in FL, died on highway ,disconnected batt cables for 5 min, started back up but was surging able to continue. anybody with similar issue?
