Exhaust pipe size/sound question

I’ve always run headers, cats, mufflers. Dual all the way back. I’m putting long tube headers on and they flow into one large 3 or 4” pipe that goes into one large muffler and then splits to twin tips. My question is: will flowing through one pipe and one muffler change the performance or the sound verses twin pipes and mufflers? Any feedback would be appreciated.
