What are the pros and cons of running this box? Does any one have pictures of the seat mod? The shop I have been dealing with won't install the fox box because of the seat mod. Wife thinks I should listen to the shop, I say screw that I want a little extra thump in the truck and I want to run the alpine type rs. The box the shop has doesn't require a seat mod and can only fit 10s. The sub they suggested were the 10w1s. Thoughts?

Fox Box spacers are just I believe 5/8" wood spacers. They are pre-drilled with holes for the bolts to go through. They work fine.

Cons: Covers the the two cup holders in front of the seats..

Pros: Teeth rattling BASS!! lol.

I have had my Fox Box for probably over a year now, it is great for a generic pre-made box. Im no audiophile, but i like to jam every now and then and like it to be deep bass and loud and clear. Hasn't disappointed me yet. I have the alpine type r 10"s with the alpine MRX-M110. Pushes it plenty good.

in my opinion 10w1's are low end JL Subs. They will sound decent but there is definitely better out there.

My 12" Sundown fit in a ported fox box. Little bit beefier than the 10w1, just a little :)

In my Fox Box I have a single 10w3v3 being pushed by a measly JX250/1 amp and it rattles the teeth in my head. I cannot even imagine how 012RAMbo setup would sound..lol

The wooden spacers under the seat mounts is no big deal but I can fully understand why a shop would not want to install them.

Are there any others with pictures of fox boxes and subs. Saw on their website that the box can fit the CvX 12s. I would definitely like to confirm this

Why wouldn't a shop want to install them? I'm curious to know

Because you are altering the factory seat mounting system. Yea, it's a simple spacer, but it's still altered and I don't blame the shop for not installing it for you....let's face it...it makes them liable if something were to happen.

Cons
it's ugly
has plastic tubs that need to be installed correctly
covers the cup holders (not a big deal IMO)
some models need the spacer
takes over a month to receive
I hate the bed liner finish

Pros
when matched with appropriate subs, it can sound pretty damn good
fits well under the rear seat
removable
affordable
