Fuel Gauge on Empty (before & after fuel pump replaced)

The fuel gauge on this 2007 Ram 1500 started to show empty several months back.
Online info pointed to replacing the fuel pump since the level sensor is part of that assembly.

After a lot of sweat and work, new fuel pump is in and yet gauge is still showing empty.

I don't of there being any fuse on the sensor circuit; cannot find a wiring diagram online either.
What do you suggest could be the problem? Beside suggesting the new pump sensor is also bad. I'd have a hard time believing that.

Looks like Chrysler pulled the Body Builders Guides for anything built before 2009

Did you check for a trouble code, using a scan tool ?
