Does anyone know if the coolant temp & transmission temp are true readings? Once up to temp, it doesn't seem like my gauges vary much. No matter if I am pulling 13.5k trailer up a mountain on a 95* day. My last truck 2016 2500 w/66rfe I put in a thermal bypass valve to keep my tranny temps from hitting 200*. It opened up the oil getting to the cooler & kept my transmission 25-30* cooler. This truck 2022 3500 w/68rfe stays around 166-170* ALL the time, whether towing or not. I find this hard to believe.

Yep, everything is working as designed. Yes there is a sensor in the trans (believe it is built into the solenoid) and a coolant sensor in the head at the front of the motor.

I see 167 towing flat and when i have to start a steep pull coolant will rise a little but trans might hit 169

My temp gauge went nuts this morning going up and down 10deg as I push or let up on the gas pedal.
I think this is tied in with why my DPF keeps registering full but not regening and not always actually being full.
I will be updating my DPF Limp Post this evening. Truck went back to the dealers this morning.

The coolant and transmission are true readings, but neither of the engine oil readings are real.
Thank you for that info. As stated above, what ever they are doing is working. Any other vehicle I have owned, I would see a 10-15* bump pulling heavy going up long hills. Even the semi's I drive, I see an increase in engine & tranny temps pulling long hills.
