(If this post is in the wrong place, please let me know)
This is a project I started a while back. Sometime in 2011 (it is now 2016), I was getting into fiberglassing, and had the idea to make some eyelids for my headlights... you know, make them look a bit agressive... I had the idea since before buying my truck back in 2008, and I actually made a photoshopped rendering of what I wanted even before I had the truck.
Finally got into it, and started the process... I got to the point where I sanded them, filled them with bondo, and then primered them... but that was it. They sat in a corner in my garage for a very long time...
After many years of just looking at them and not doing anything with them, I finally had them painter to color match my truck. That was about 4 months ago... Last weekend I finally decided to install them on my truck... so the following is what happened (Starting in 2011)
To start off, I made a Photoshop rendering of what I wanted... this is before owning my truck!
1st step was to take a picture of my headlight... I needed to have a before and one while taping, so the camera was mounted to a tripod and the 1st pic was taken.
2nd, was to wrap my headlights in tape, then in aluminum foil... I used aluminum duct tape in this case...
.... See next post for continuation...
