Looking for some input and help on choosing a set of Alpharex Nova headlights. I like the OEM look of the stock headlights and don’t it want to look like a tunner car wit the wrong headlights. I can’t decide between the two black ones or the chrome for the truck. Please help!!

Honest opinion…you have a really clean & tastefully done truck there, and I don’t say that often. The alpha Rex headlights (or any aftermarket LED strip/projector/etc) would be an aesthetic downgrade imo

Thank you. That is my big concern, I like the clean OEM look a lot too.

Not to mention that the illumination from the stock 3rd gen lights is terrible. I have to agree with crash68 on his comments.

Are the early 3g headlights that bad? The factory lights on my ‘08 are actually still pretty decent with some quality h13 bulbs (Philips xtreme vision)…they were quite a bit worse with stock & silverstar bulbs. Wouldn’t mind upgrading to something brighter with a better beam pattern myself, but have yet to come across headlights that don’t look like they’re from AliExpress.

Consider the ones I linked above, lots of members on this forum have Alpharex headlights and are happy with them and have a good build quality. There have been a few reviews on this forum that the Luxx version which are all LEDs perform better than the Pro version with LED bulbs.
As for finding headlights not made in China, good luck with that as even a lot of the OEMs are built there.

My 2007 the stock headlights were terribly oxidized. The light it put out was ok but the lens looked like crap and i had them cleaned once and it was worse when it happened again.

I put Spyder projector headlights on it as shown in my avatar. There are some others I liked as well but some are very pricey.

meh…to each their own. I personally am not a fan of the way aftermarket led/halo/tube/etc headlights (at least the ones I’ve seen) look on a 3rd gen. Makes the truck look like it’s trying to emulate a newer model, which to me is tacky. But in the end may end up having to go that route to get better lighting at some point
