I have the opportunity to buy a 730N RHR.

Unfortunately the seller does not know what vehicle it came out of.

How can I tell what it is ?

I looked to see if there was a identifier, like on the paper on top of the radio or a port on the rear of the radio.
I had no luck.
Maybe while searching with Google, i was using the incorrect wording ?

From memory, the 2009 Dodge Ram 1500s all had High Speed Can Bus C
2 of the fanciest 2009 Jeep models also had High Speed Can Bus C

The rest of the Chrysler vehicles all had Low Speed Can Bus B in 2009

I think @SitKneelBend is familiar with these radios.

If your looking to add navigation, you may want to consider going to an aftermarket radio that supports wireless AndroidAuto/CarPlay. The factory navigation leaves much to be desired, where as AA/CP have realtime traffic and up to date mapping.

Best bet is to do a google search for the part number, try it both ways with and without the "P" in front. You'll probably get a bunch of hits on ebay, see what they came out of. But don't rely on just one or two results, ebay is notorious for listing them wrong, look at several.

These were high speed, there are others, but some changed in the 2010 - 2011 model year, like the Grand Cherokee

Liberty
Minivans
Nitro
Ram
Wrangler

What radio is in it now? If it is an RER you are fine, (The RER\RHR have an internal module) if it is any other model, (RES, REN, RBZ), AND your current radio has uConnect with the mics in the mirror, they have a separate external uConnect module. You'll also need a bypass harness for the mirror.

You'll also need to change the puck antenna on the roof. In 2010 the NAV units had a separate antenna from satellite. (there are three connectors on the back). In 2010 the roof antenna only does satellite. The RHR only has two connectors, one for AM/FM, the other does both NAV and satellite. the 2011 and up antennas are integrated to do both.

If this one falls thru and you're still interested in one - I have an RHR listed in the for-sale section, it is high speed and does work

Yeah - that one's a low speed. If you still want to go that route, all you'll need is an external mic and change the puck antenna, the rest is plug and play. Let me know if you're interested in the one I have

That looks like an RER, not an RHR, it has the three fakra connectors, the blue one is for the nav antenna. Look at the three letter code by the AUX port.

Here's the link to the RHR I have for sale - look at the back, it only has two connectors

Am I understanding correctly, the low speed would work with the high speed ?

Its a tempting offer from the seller , he wants $50 :)

I could never get the low Speed canbus radio to work with my 2010 truck's high speed canbus . No matter the solution recommended, it just would not work in the truck.

I found it in a wrecking yard and pulled it out of a chrysler 200. I ended up selling the low Speed on ebay and used the money to buy a high speed one on ebay. Just entered the pin (supplied by the seller)and it worked right away.

Unfortunately no, they are not interchangeable, low speed will not work, but yeah - that is a great price

I went from an RES to a RHR out of a town and country . First startup entered The pin. Then disconnected the battery cable for a full power down and it changed from the Chrysler logo to the Dodge logo.

I had to upgrade the satellite antenna and add the Mopar mic kit. As said, if yours didn't come with satellite may have to add an satellite antenna and run the cable through the headliner and down to the passenger kicker panel and then up into the dash. Depending on the radio, you may have to add the GPS antenna as well.

The good thing is, the GPS antenna in the early 4th Gen Rams just sat above the radio under the dash board, so no holes to drill in the trucks sheet metal.

Get it fairly close to the middle speaker & the windshield for best reception

OK, my 130 says Sirius on the trim bezel so I assume its there,,not interested in GPS, but am definitely wanting to get Bluetooth to work for the phone. Sirius not even needed.

The two connectors on the back of the 130 , one yellow one white, the white is the radio antenna , is the yellow one Sirius ?

Yes, the yellow one is Sirius.

Do you want bluetooth for just phone calls, or do you want audio streaming also?

You can add bluetooth to yours since you have the phone button on the radio, Chrysler did make a kit for it, part # was 82212159, but it has been discontinued. You may still be able to find one on ebay. It will require the sales code added to your truck for it to work, either by the dealer or you can do it yourself with AlfaOBD, (there is huge thread on that software in the 4th gen DIY section and disregard the comment it's only for 2013+ years, it works fine on a 2010).

The other option is to upgrade to an RHR as you intially were thinking, it has built-in bluetooth and does audio streamming. The older RER does not support audio streaming.
