Just noticed a humming noise when accelerating but goes away when I let off the gas. I just bought this used truck but it has warranty. Any ideas? I plan on taking it to a dealer and changing the differential fluids. Maybe that will fix it.

It’s a 2016 Power Wagon w/ 114 miles. It has a rebuilt transmission with a 3 year warranty and I have a 6 month power Tran warranty also

Changing fluids will give you peace of mind

chances are likely, that the previous owner had changed out the instrument cluster
I would suspect that Mileage is awfully low, to have a rebuilt transmission

63000 miles on my 14 6.4 and it is in the shop for transmission failure. Normal day to day city driving and about 8,000 miles towing a 6500 lb travel trailer and a open top car hauler with a 2002 MR2 on it. Mine had its first failure at ~2,500 miles. Glad I purchased the max care warranty.

Ya I was worried about buying a used truck but no way I could afford a new loaded out Power Wagon!! This transmission was rebuilt and I talked to the shop that did it. He told me what he did and gave me a 3 year or 50k mile warranty. Feel a lot better about the truck but every sound I hear I worry about! Hell I haven’t had a truck for 4 years and for all I know it could be the new all terrain tires!!
