Hey peeps of the Ramz. I need some help on identifying this part cause as you can, it seams like I’m missing a couple bolts to it cause I spray/leak all around the area. Red marked circles mean missing bolts I guess.

That is the seal of your front differential on (I believe) the passenger side.

Looks that way. I'd certainly try to replace the bolts before changing the seal. Be careful threading into the aluminum housing, the other bolts fell out for some reason. Maybe put a little loctite on (after cleaning out the threads with brake cleaner or similar degreaser)...

If the bolts don't stop the leak, you'll need to replace the seal. Not a huge job, but involves some disassembly of the hub/strut to facilitate the removal of the front axle. Lot's of great YouTube how-to videos.

Yeah seams like the bolts just came out. I have no idea how that would even happen.

The 4th gen rams only use 2 bolts for that seal. The 3rd gens used 4 bolts, but I guess Chrysler figured out that the seal wont come off on it's own so dont need the extra bolts.

So then it’s the seal

Well just found out that it’s from my oil filter (royal purple). It had a defective seal.

Hmm... I didn't realize that. Thanks!

That's good news and an easy fix.
