I've had after market controllers on other trucks and was never happy with their performance. They seemed to fluxtuate in how much braking they applied, however the one that cam in my 2013 is great, it's even, repeatable, consistent and easy to adjust when needed.
It was my understanding that the factory brake controller was part of the factory tow packages so how could a factory tow package truck be sold without that feature. Doesn't the true factory tow package come with, Trans Cooler, Oil Cooler, trailer hitch installed and factory brake controller??
