Anybody do this on a chrome laramie bumper in the 2012 range?

Noticed my cutout in the bumper is taller on the ends and skinny in the middle. Makes it seems like the 3"-3.5" height of the lightbar will not allow it to be seated deep enough for my liking. Pics if you have em?! Thanks guys learned quite a bit in this thread.

I've read through this thread and can't find anything that shows how to remove the plastic insert in the lower grill found in the Express/Sports. How do you get that piece off?

Beautiful truck

I was thinking of doing the same thing to mine but i have the out doors man and have the hooks on the front I want to get rid of the chrome and go all white the painter I talk to really don't want to touch it though good. Here's pics of the bumpers. I'm not sure if a light bar would sit on top of that chrome running across

i didnt cut any braces. i had to on my old 2012. this one sits right in there. i took out the plastic bezel. set the light bar where i wanted it and made some brackets then messured and trimmed the bezel to fit around the light bar.

Hi there, what did you use to trim the bezel? Is the bezel made from thick plastic or is it easy to cut with a sharp blade? Thanks!

How did you go about trimming the bezel? How much did you cut out? Any issues with loose for afterwards?

Put mine in today have not trimmed the plastic its open for now. What is the best way to trim it? Measuring etc. also do your light bars rest on the lower part of the bumper plastic? I have adjusted the brackets and it still kind of sits on it worried it might melt it or something.

FINALLY got my 42" Cree LED Curved light bar in. I bought it for my '13 Blackout and then it got bought back due to a bad transmission. Haven't had the time to install it on my '15 until the other day finally.

Here's my 5200k HID headlights & HID foglights.

Thanks! Luckily that house is empty right now. They just finished flipping it and it's up for sale. I almost bought that one instead of mine but they have no back yard whereas my house has a big back yard fenced in for the dog already!:favorites13:

Installed mine today :)
Just so people can see what it looks like when you have to keep the front plate ( I just took the bracket off and used some rubber grommets behind the plate)

light bar installed. Made it so it can be operated either by switch whenever wanted or it also comes on with high beams.

Could you please share the schematic of the switch/relays you used? I imagine you had a three way switch that is connected to a relay that senses the high beams.
I'm just not sure which wires on the vehicle to use.

Thanks

ok, here a quick thing how I did it.
the light bar came with harness, (relay, switch, etc) I got another relay and hooked it up parallel.
Relay I is wired as regular on/off whenever desired.
Relay II is wired to the High Beam.
See diagram.
Hope this helps.
