So now that everything is ceramic coated, I have the truck going into the shop October 31st to be installed.

I had the exhaust put on today, I must say it sounds nice.

JBA shorties hooked up into an AFE Y-pipe into stock muffler with some MOES 5 inch tips.

There is a noticable increse in power and acceleration. Has a nice rumble to it and i dont have that annoying TICKING sound from the broken bolts anymore.

I didn't even realize someone made a catless Y pipe for our trucks that wasn't for long tubes. Very awesome.

They do have cats. You just cant see in picture because wrapped in plastic. ennlarge 1st picture, you can see 2 bulges about a foot down from top of Y-pipe.

The coating was done in Langley BC, KOOL COATS.

This system fits exactly in place of STOCK exhaust.

I just found out about a month ago myself about this Y-pipe.

AFE does make this kit with headers too, I had bought the JBA headers first from MOES and then found out about the AFE Y-pipe later,

Mine did need an 8 inch extension pipe added on, im not sure why, but I will be calling AFE today to find out!

BUt the shop did a nice job with the extension pipe, I was not upset just suprised.

After driving for a few days, I must say I am happy I went this route. I have seen a few posts on here about after market mufflers, not giving horse power but just a better sound, so I went shorty headers with a big y-pipe and kept the stock muffler. I get a great sound without any drone and a few extra horse power!

I’m tempted. Any sound clips? This is what I’ve wanted for a set up. Headers with the stock muffler. From posts I’ve seen here, guys have said the motor sounds very ticky due to the thin wall headers. How does yours sound?

I like the way mine sounds, you can NOT here any tick, maybe a bit if you open hood or stick head in wheel well.

I already have a Diablo tune in mine.

You don't need a tune but It would not hurt.
