i think im gana put a k&n intake on my truck,does anyone have one and what can you tell me about them

i have one in my truck and love it. I had better pickup and sounds good. Been using K&N forever and never had any issues. Works the first time.

I've had a K&N drop in on my 1500 Hemi, and my 3500 CTD came with one from the dealer. CTD has a TSB on non-OEM style filters warning about excessive dust and I contacted K&N about my concerns. They have ensured me that if Ram ever refuses warranty, K&N will go to bat for me to ensure that it is either handled, or K&N will look after me. I'm comfortable with k&n and am happy with the flow the filter has.

What difference did you get with the drop in. I have had the k and n intake on a jeep before but never just a replacement filter

Have a K&N filter and its serves it purpose. Mostly got it since it had the Height, Base OD and Flange ID i was looking for.

I ran an AFE for a long time before switching to the Vararam. Last K&N I had was the oval style for my 76' GMC and that one (even with reg cleaning) rotted out after a years time. So no more K&N products will be used on my vehicles

I have K&N Intake on mine and I love it. I have used their drop ins many times before and like them too. I have never had any issues with them. I clean them every few months probably 6 and they do great.

I cannot remember... I replaced the truck almost 2 years ago... I remember buying it hoping I'd get more mpgs.. but that never worked out.

Haven't run one of their intakes, but I have had their drop-ins in both of my rams.

K&N 77 series in my turck, forgive the bay not being clean, it was after putting in the motor.

The wifes 05 is running a K&N FIPK kit I got used.

I have one too, it whistles loud! I love it, I think the box says something like 12 HP gain

As far as the drop in goes- I put one in my 5.7L and could hardly tell a difference. Next im going with the CAI hoping for a little more HP and fuel econ. From what I hear about the K&N CAI id skip just the drop in air filter and put your $ towards the CAI.

so i put in on today,the installation was pretty good the MAF wires were just alittle to short but i got it to fit it whistles really loud when ur givein it some gas like it said i prob got 10-12 hp but you can really feel it!
