Just checked my 2016 1500 on NHTSA.gov and hummm? Mine is not part of the recall, so not ALL of them are recalled...or maybe the government wants me to die....ya never know?!?

I dropped by my dealer to pick an oil filter for the Jeep and stopped at the service desk to ask about the U05 Auto park functionality campaign. She read me word for word off her computer and it is indeed just for Auto park. From the description she read to me it sounded like it will add auto park to any vehicle that currently does not have it, like mine. It has nothing to do with the cruise control recall, as mentioned by a few others earlier. She also said they have not done one yet but the software is available for them to download.

None of you guys are going to see a recall for cruise control when you look it up, because the recall has barely been announced it’s not even in our system yet to show any information is available. Once it’s received it’s recall designation and placed in interim status, then it will show up if your vehicle is involved.

Maybe it's like a TSB repair at this point.... I had my 2017 Ram 2500 in for a transmission leak, and they had a TSB for the repair. So if your tranny starts leaking, they already know why!

It’s not a TSB, they don’t make recall announcements for TSBs. The repair isn’t available yet, it’s just been announced that they are going to be issuing a recall. If there was a repair available at this time I would be able to see it.

You guys are talking about two different recalls. The cruise control recall has no fix released yet, it’s just been announced.

Then there’s the U05 recall for autopark, this applies to 8 speed equipped trucks. This recall is all software updates. Depending on what cluster you have, it can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 4hrs.

EXACTLY! Do not come running to the dealership about the cruise control issue as you will be met with disappointment. If you have an affected vehicle, you will get a letter in the mail notifying you about it. Once a fix is available, you will get another letter telling you it is time to have your vehicle repaired.

I supervise the parts counter at my dealership that services the technicians and I am responsible for controlling the inventory of our recall parts and knowing what is going on with current recalls. I am playing a little catch-up on this one as it has blown up during the week I was on vacation...of course... :-/

I have even used the " stupid thing and hit the steering wheel" but it did not help

Im curious if it will be a software update or involve parts too....if it involves actual parts, I can only imagine the backlog!

Guess I was due for something. I'm averaging 1-2 issues per year since I got my 2015.

I have had to push and hold my set and resume buttons to get the cruise control to come on then it works for a while but eventually I have to repeat the process all over again!

I've experienced this a handful of times. First the cruise control wont even come on. I will have to push the button probably 5 times. Then the same thing for trying to turn it off. Hit the button and nothing happens. First time that happened was getting off the interstate. Got into the off ramp lane and hit the cruise control off button, just kept accelerating. Breaks still cancel it out every time though.

I haven't seen a recall notice on my MOPAR app, maybe I will take it in just for precautionary purposes.
