I'm in need of a new set of tires, OEM are 265/70/17. Just wondering if 285's will work.
Vehicle Info:
2010 RAM 2500 SLT 4x4, Crew Cab, 6.7L Diesel - no lift.

Pricewise, there's only about a $30 difference between 265 and 285, but would like the largest tire.

Oh you'd be good to go with a 2500 as they are higher than 1500's stock..a 285 would fit fine!

285s will fit no problem
A lot of people like they way 285/70/17 look on crew cab short bed but that's still a pretty big truck, I personally think 285/75/17 look better but of course it's more expensive tire

You could fit a 315/70/17 in the wheel well without a leveling kit but you will have rubbing in the lower control arm with stock wheels (an aftermarket wheel and level or aftermarket control arm would fix that)
