I'm prepping my intake manifold for paint and got to thinking that while most of us have whatever came with our truck, not all of us do. So let's see what you got.

Nothing special here, just a 5.7 pre eagle stocker.

Any benefit? Other than looks?
Plasti dip benefits? Other than being able to peel it off if I get tired of seeing it, no.
I had it all apart during the swap and figured why not.

LOL no I was asking on the porting/polishing part :)
Yes, MMX sells them already ported.
I have no time slips for proof, but others do. I used to do it to my hot rods, ones that didn’t have plastic manifolds, improves flow and adds some extra power. Butt dyno says it was worth the 30mins and couple beers it took to do.

I just don't know how much I can really get out of mine.

What do you mean? If it’s off it takes maybe half hour with a drill or Dremel.
If I was a track racer I’d have compared slips, but Mexico is closer than the strip. Even some of the 6.4 manifold guys are porting them. It’s basically gasket matching in old race terms. @Wild one seen a difference as well I believe.

I spent about 8 hours porting both the trucks 5.7 intake and the 6.4 intake on the Challenger, the Challenger maybe at most gained a tenth ,but the truck i couldn't really tell any differance.According to Ryan at FRP porting the 6.4 intake is good for about 8 hp. A local head porter has taken to cutting the composite intakes apart and then he can get inside and fully port them, but i haven't heard any track results yet on a dodge intake, but apparently he's gaining a couple tenths on the LS intakes

It's not gasket matching for us. It's technically port matching. I started and ran into a big issue with my heads.
