Feel like I’m just over thinking this.

Rough country hidden LED 20” light bar

Light bar to relay, relay, relay ties the battery and the switch which I’ve mounted in the dash.

Currently the switch has nothing to do with whether the truck is on or off. You can turn on the light bar with no regards to the truck being powered on.

Can I just add a relay for the power wire? I’m talking the section of harness that goes from interior switch to light bar relay. If I throw another relay in that breaks the tie to the positive and have it tap into a 12v source that requires truck to be powered on, Will this work? Am I thinking correctly? Easier way I could do this?

I used an on/off/on switch on mine. This lets me run power from a relay which switches on/off with the truck, run direct power from a constant on (battery), or I can hard switch it all off in the middle.

Here's an example of an on/off/on switch. The middle post will go to your accessory, then left (or right) will have power coming from constant, and then right (or left) will have power from your switched relay. Then, you rock the switch to the side you're anting power from. I nearly always leave mine on the relay side, but if I need to get light while the truck is off, I rock it the other way.
