Finally gonna post a into thread! My name is Drew and recently purchased my first Dodge! Details in sig. and i will post the build sheet. Its a super clean ride, I got it factory certified with a 6yr/80k warranty from manufacture date. Its got 40k on it so i got a good 2 years under warranty which was definitely a huge seller for me.

I love the forum world I got hooked on it with my past truck on fordrangerforum.com great group of guys and made me proud of my truck everyday. Looking forward to becoming an active member on here! This site reminds me more of my old home lol. I have been surfing the site for weeks trying to learn as much as I can about these trucks. Coming from all Fords previously it like learning a new language lol.

I have lots of questions and was hoping a few could be answered on this thread rather than staring new threads for each:

1)My tailgate has no badges? My build sheet says "Thunder Road" could somebody clarify if this truck is in fact a "Thunder Road"

2)Level a 2wd? Whats the best economical/practical way to do it on these trucks? Will it effect ride enough to not do it?

3)Exahsut pipe size? Plan on running a 40 dumped. I like the sleeper look on my rides.

4)Build sheet says 2.5 Gallons? I cant squeeze more than 23G in it. Wouldnt it be 28.5 if this was true?

Mods so far:
-Tint front windows & visor
-Ultra Guage
-Nifty Catch-it floor mats
-Mag light mount that was made for a Ranger(works great on this truck too!)
-UWS lo pro tool box is being shipped as I speak
-It also had a gold and silver pin stripe. I removed the gold stripe and left the silver. Looks much better!
Alot of people have told me to remove the stripe at the bottom but I like it so its staying lol makes it one of kind IMO (Can anyone tell me if its a factory decal? its a nice decal not cheap at all)
I have more to come...

Ok now onto the goods! Whats an intro thread with out pics....

The night I bought it next to my old truck(crappy pic):

Thanks! I also want to try and track down a set of tow mirrors. Its a long shot but I am gonna hit the local yards before I dump a bunch of money on them, they are expensive on the net!

Thanks! From what I have researched so far the Thunder road is no different than a Big Horn it just depended on where the truck was manufactured and where its final destination was. I believe if it was FL bound they were called Thunder Road.

welcome!

To answer your questions (in bold)

1)My tailgate has no badges? My build sheet says "Thunder Road" could somebody clarify if this truck is in fact a "Thunder Road"

us RAM fellers like to debadge our trucks. :D

2)Level a 2wd? Whats the best economical/practical way to do it on these trucks? Will it effect ride enough to not do it?

There is a donut spacer that is used for that. You may need longer shocks!

3)Exahsut pipe size? Plan on running a 40 dumped. I like the sleeper look on my rides.

3". I had a FM40 dumped on my 08, it was a beautiful thing man.

4)Build sheet says 2.5 Gallons? I cant squeeze more than 23G in it. Wouldnt it be 28.5 if this was true?

Thats how much fuel they shove it in at build time.

1)Thanks lol I figured they were removed and i would have done the same but I was more curious as to what that package came with it must be more than badges.

2)Yeah I had the same setup in a F150 I had. Not new to me so this is getting added to my list:)

3)Original 40 is all I have ever used! and Dumped all the way! If I am gonna dump it does it even matter what the offset it? What exactly did you have on your 08?

4)WOW that makes sense LOL I never even thought of that:pp:

my FM40 was a SIDO, I had it running out the back, then I dumped it. I dumped it right off of the muffler, which was before the axle. LOUD. :D

The wifes 05 is a Thunder Road and all it was is badgeing really. Its pretty much a SLT which used to be the higher package, now its middle of the road.

Welcome! I haven't been here too much longer than you, but there is lots of information to be gained. Nice looking truck you have and very clean too!

Sounds like us in Texas with the "Lone Star" package which is called "Big Horn" anywhere else you go.
