Loud dragging rear noise

Hi,

been having a loud rear grunt/dragging noise only when driving after being parked with the engine off. Dealer says its the praking brake shoes..but doen't seem right.
Has anyone experienced this?
I own a 06 1500 qc.

The parking brake shoes are horrible on the RAM. After a while they separate from the backing and and then the braking pad slips between the backing and the rotor creating a drag... This is very common.

I own the factory manual and according to it the entire axle from each side must be removed to gain access to the shoes. Is there a quicker/easier way to do this?
The dealer wants $400 for the job.

All you do is remove the rotors. They sit in there.
