Even running Bio-Diesel is bad for the fuel filters

I run #2 diesel, unless there is none available

If cooking oil ruins fuel filters quickly ...........................

A friend has a home WVO to Biodiesel setup in his garage... He runs 100% bio in his Ford truck and his wifey's Benz with no problems that I know of. I buy the bio from him at a buck a gallon. Run it in my tractor and in my truck at a 50/50 mix... Runs just fine. I replace my fuel filters every other oil change anyway so haven't noticed any problems with them. And yes, it does actually smell like french fries! LOL

That said, when going on a longer trip and pulling my trailer, I'll switch back to straight pump diesel. I have noticed a loss of performance on bio when pulling a heavy load.
