Max Weight on Bed

I have a 2012 RAM 1500 Quad Big Horn 6'4" Bed, would like to know if it would handle 1,800 lbs.


The weight is a pallet of ceramic tile.

If you have the V6 according to this it’ll handle it, otherwise you’ll be over.

1 shot deal I'd haul it, but you are over. If worried about it pay for delivery or rent or borrow a small trailer to tow it home. Door sticker will tell you the max payload of your truck.

I do 2,000 pound pallets every year, it is a little gushy, I just would drive slow, it is very doable at 1,800 pnds.

a simple upgrade is a air bag system that goes in your coils. For 300 bucks you can really never have to worry about it. It takes a 1500 and makes it almost a 2500 for loading capacity. Research Air Lift 57365 LoadLifter 5000 Air Spring Kit.

Don't forget that part of the loading/hauling equation is the ability to STOP the load as well as carry it.

For a short distance or one time thing, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just be careful.
