mds on 2014 dodge ram 1500 with 5.7

when you start the truck and put in gear does the mds ehgage? when the eco light goes on and off is this mds kicking in and out. i keep seeing post about turning mds off.

Press tow haul if you want more aggressive shift points, or just use your transmission shifter to hit 5th gear in the 6 speed, or 7th in the 8 speed, your ecomode will be disabled.

ECO coming on doesn't automatically mean MDS is active, but it's likely that it is. MDS won't be active until your engine coolant is warm enough, and you're driving at least 25-35mph. Not sure the exact minimum speed. What Burla says will deactivate it for as long as you are in that mode.

I understand that if you use ERS and shift to 8, you have turned off MDS with out changing the way the trans shifts.
