I think it was these spark plugs.

All the injectors were cleaned.

Truck seems to be running well when stationary.

So I’m going to leave the engine alone for now and just focus on the transmission.

Be aware of counterfeit spark plug clones which are causing performance issues, although from what I'm hearing these usually are purchased through the web.

So I’ve been driving it for two weeks.

Brought it into the mechanic Friday and there were zero misfire codes.

He could check the history and there were zero misfires over the last while.

So I guess cheap spark plugs were the cause.

He also put the transmission into reprogramming mode, considering it had tried to adapt to the misfires.

Big lesson learned.

Great news!! I'm to the point that I'm afraid to order parts from many places online. So much stuff is cheap counterfeit anymore.

It seems even the resellers don't care very much because they make so much money off the crap.

Can we maybe have a few positive stories that are like:

“I got a warning light and I thought I’d have to replace the engine but it turned out to be a 5$ part.”

So I’ve been driving it for two weeks.

Very positive story right there.

Glad that it appears to be a very happy ending.
