I have a 2004 dodge ram 1500 2wd. Currently my truck sits with a 3" body lift, 32" tires with a 2" coil spacer in the front and heavy duty leafs in the rear. I am looking at doing the maxtrax 7" lift. I had talked about running 35x12.5 tires. Would these tires look too small? i have stock rims with a 2" spacer but am going to be getting new rims of which i am debating between 17s or 20s. If anyone has pictures of their truck with this amount of lift on it and would like to share please explain the lift amount and rim/tire size. Thanks

If you have a 3" body lift and you run the 7" kit (you will need to remove the 2" spacers) you will be sitting at 10" of lift which can clear up to a 38" tall tire. So 35's might look kind of small on a setup that big. I would at the very least go with some 37's but it will also depend on how wide you plan on going with your rims. If you are going with 9"-10" wide wheels then 38's would be my choice. if you are going with 12" wide then definitely stick with 37's for clearance purposes. Maybe someone else can chime in on this with some opinions and/or pics though. Just my $.02

Thank you for the quick response. I am looking at probably 10" wide rims. Would you suggest going 17" or 20" rims? With 37s would regearing to 4.10 be enough?

If you go 37's I am going to say at least a 4:56 or 4:88 but these guys might know better than I would when it comes to gearing
