You might've gotten a gift. A lemon = gift. Sounds crazy? Well, hear me out...
I had a lemon Fiat. Best car ownership ever. 1st problem documented on the 1st day of ownership, I brought it in for service next day. After that... dozens of dealer visits, a stack of records enough to publish a novel.
Almost 2 years later, I hired a lawyer and got ALL my money back. ALL of it, to the last penny, not even a dime for mileage. Because lemon is considered and refunded from the first service date.
Basically I got 2-year free loaner. Can't complain. Dealer was 3 minutes away from my home and I got to drive various loaners (but mostly my own other car). I didn't stress about it. It was no big deal. Something broke? No biggie, here's your car guys, now give me something else to drive for a week or two.
Just keep counting the "out of service days" and once you hit 30 days (or 45 in some states) - you have a gift, a free ride. Just make sure to open a claim within 2 years.
DON'T call corporate yourself and compain. I did. Did no good whatsoever. They're utterly useless. They will try to 'resolve' a problem by simply having you to bring your car for another service #150. This service #150 won't be any different than previous 149 services, they might have Extra Important Person present to ensure quality repair, but repair is only as good as technicians or their training. If they're not trained on bizzarre 1st year issues, they won't fix it, just waste your time.
Hire a lawyer.
In the meantime enjoy your truck while it's running, enjoy your loaners, keep records and just wait until they give you an opportunity to claim your money back. Make sure you have a copy of each encounter as dealers like to change names/ownerships - and that means records will be lost! My dealer changed 3 owners during my adventures, I got lucky I kept records because normally I don't and just rely on "if i need them I'll ask them to print them out". Well as I found out, they change ownership - all documents and records get lost. They don't transfer your service records. Lost forever. Corporate couldn't give me a copy either, I tried. They won't help. Noone will. Noone is interested to. It's just you and your lawyer vs them.
If you get to lemon it, it's not just free ride - it's tons of money saved on interest, depreciation etc. Calculate like 20% of car price - that's what stayed in your pocket. A true gift.
If I could I would ONLY buy lemons. I'd never have a car payment!
