Hmm touché. I've never had a properly deadened vehicle, but this summer when money isn't so tight maybe I'll make it a weekend project to gut the interior and deaden everything

It makes a huge difference. I cld my doors last year when I installed the kickers, but now that I am upgrading to a stellar system I went and completely stripped the interior headliner included and added more dynamat and a layer of ccf dynaliner and I am loving how quiet the cab is becoming. I used 4 sheets of 1/8, 1/4 and 1/2" for a total of 12 sheets of foam 2 dynapads for floor and about 120 sq feet of cld. Cost about a 1000 for everything. Street side auto has best deals on dynamat and liner. It will also increase the level of performance of your equipment as well.:homoswitch:

Neither had I until this one. The difference is dramatic... I went from zero deadening to pretty thoroughly deadened and I can't hear my exhaust anymore in the cab.
I have yet to do my headliner and little bit under my dash.

Do it when you have the time and money to do it properly. I have spent around $500 (regular cab) so far on the materials and I probably need another $100 - $150 worth of materials to make it as good as it gets.

I went to go buy but they quoted me $20 for shipping. Doesn't that seem kinda excessive?

Ahh gotcha lol. Seems a little much for a couple blocks of wood, but could be worse I suppose

Heard a lot of guys say they just stacked up washers to get the spacing they needed, or if nothing else wouldn't be too hard to just make a spacer out of wood

I used a couple of washers and a nut per bolt as a spacer.

Would I need a longer bolt to do that? I still think $20 for shipping is high? I just mailed an 9lbs box that was decent in size for $24.

I remember a few people saying the original bolts were still plenty long enough with a spacer, I think that was a 3/4" spacer

So the stock bolts definitely aren't long enough to reach with the 1.5" spacers. But on the other hand, woot woot! haha feels great to have the truck back together again and have some pretty solid bass in there now. Box was a good buy for sure, Paul makes a great product

Honestly a lot better than I was expecting out of a pair of 10s in an underseat sealed box. My last system was 2 12s in a 4cu ft box ported at 32hz, was afraid it had set the bar too high. Don't get the down low thunder that I had in that system, but this is more of a tight musical bass system than a body panel rattler. Sounds fantastic on rock and dance music with quick hits, and still shakes the hell out of the mirrors when I put on the dubstep haha

Lizard king as
Of today 8 in pipeline.

You should be fine with the seat spacers you don't need the boxes
To use and it will raise seat enough to fold backs down.

Net audio boxes are the best you can get for the ram. He builds them top quality.

Paul also has a new harnesss that is plug and play and will customize to your setup so that you don't have to cut the factory wiring harness when you want to run amps or DSP. Pic below

How much was the harness? I see 2 wires coming off it, is that all thats needed for a signal if running a front amp and sub amp?
