Hey fellas, as the title says, I'm still getting a rapid blink with my new LED turn signal bulbs even with a load resistor thing. What might cause this? I didn't use the flimsy wire taps that came with the kit, I actually cut the signal wires and used waterproof butt-splice connectors to wire in the resistor.

Please help, I've got everything tore apart trying to get as much stuff done so that next weekend when I go to put my new headlights in and all, I'll have all the piddly work done.

Thanks.

Well, went to the online installation manual for this thing and there is no specifics on how it gets installed so what's going on?

Is it possible that 6 ohms of resistance isn't enough of a load to keep the rapid blinking at bay? Do I need to double up on the resistors or search for higher-ohmed load equalizers?

Actually got it figured out with the help of about 5 internet videos.

Turns out A, the instructions, even the online version of the instructions suck and B, I found out by those other sources that these load equalizers need to be spliced into both the turn signal wires AND the ground wires, not just in-line of the turn signal wires like I originally assumed, in order to provide the resistance to keep the new LED lights from being strobe lights.

In other words, one wire from the resistor splices into the ground wire of the socket and the other end of the resistor splices into the hot (turn signal) wire....

Thanks anyways, y'all.

I don't know what brand resistors you bought but maybe the ones you're getting will actually have a set of instructions to tell ya how to hook them up.

Doubt it, they're some Amazon cheapos. But If I have a problem I'll remember this post.
