New member and new to Ram

Just wanted to introduce myself. I've always owned chevy and fords but decided to give Ram a try this time. Just picked up a 16 laramie crew 5.7 with 3.92. Still getting used to it but dealer let me do a weekend long test drive so I'm confident it'll do everything I need it to. I'm a snowmobiler so most of the truck use will be towing my enclosed trailer. So far I like a lot of the details that seemed to be missing in my last ford. I might miss the flat floor in my supercrew but that's about it. Coming from a 13 150 lariat ecoboost 3.55. In my first 300 miles (between the weekend and today) I'm already tying the mpg of the ecoboost. Pretty impressed by that. Anyway, thanks to all the members who actively post, it answered a lot of my questions while determining whether to buy or not.

What kind of mpg you seeing on that first 300 miles

17.8. That was about 60% hwy but I live in central Pennsylvania so it's very hilly here. On the hwy I was about 19.5. My ecoboost best ever in 45k miles was 21 going through michigan on a calm day at 70 mph. Lifetime average was 15.5 hand calculated. DIC said 16.3 but it was always optimistic lol.

Ram had a 10.5k rebate and dealer discounted it another 5400 so I paid $36,800 plus tax.

Thanks, I really like the khaki and dark brown. I wish husky or weathertech made a canyon brown liner. Not sure how black is going to look

I wasn't looking for a new truck, I just happened to be passing by and saw the writing on the windshields of some of their trucks. I figured I'd have to qualify for some impossible rebates to get that price but it was legit.

I have the same truck and I am a avid snomobiler like you. I haul an enclosed trailer and am blown away at getting 13.5 miles to the gallon and has unlimited power to pass ,climb etc. My buddy rides with me when we go up north trail riding and he is blown away by the Ram compared to his 14 Siverado. The power and gas mileage is so much better than his Silverado. He's a die hard Chevy guy and would never own a Ram but he sure compliments me every time we go. Congrats on the new truck and I really like the interior color as well. Also great buy at that price. Hope winter is good to us sledder this year. Think snow!!
