Hello, and Thanks for allowing me to be here!
I bought my 1st fuel injected vehicle 2 weeks ago:
A black 1994 Ram 1500 - regular cab 2wd short box with a topper and a 5.2 engine
It had less than 110,000 miles and NO rust!!
And practically brand new tires.
The paint must have been fairly scalded on the hood and roof...
Someone did a flat-black rattle-can paint job on them!! Nice...
I used to work in a body shop and did bodywork and painted.
So this spring I'll scuff it up good and repaint it
The top of the topper is pretty bad too!!
After receiving the paperwork - I see it spent a lot of time in Florida.
That would explain the no-rust and I'll bet that Florida sun really baked the paint off.
It seems that the paint was crappy on most vehicles from that time anyway.
Anyway, I just wanted to describe my "New to me" Dodge pickup.
The main reason I bought it was to haul our band equipment around.
That's why I got one with a topper!! We frequently play in a town 175 miles away.
I figured I could learn a little more about this vehicle from you guys!!
And Thank You again for letting me be here. (-:
