OEM Tires

I am looking at new tires for my 2018 Ram 2500 Laramie, 6.4. I'm old fashioned and want to stay with my original size on the 18" stock rims with 275/70/18 tires. About once a month I tow a 29', 8,000 pound travel trailer.

I'm considering the Michelin LTX A/T2. What do you think and other options?

My buddy has the LTX tire on his 2500(he has 20" rims though) and like them. He also tows a considerably large fiver. I've put a lot of miles one LTXs on different vehicles all of which were loaded up weighing close to 9K lbs and are driven over crappy roads. Every set went at least 80K miles and never had issues. Michelin LTXs are definitely worth the extra $$

I agree! Those Michelin Ltx seem to last a good while. I'll always recommend them at work. They are on the higher end for cost but I think they are worth it for sure.

I've got 5000 miles on my set of Michelin LTX's now with no sign of wear. Great riding tire, smooth and dang quiet for an LT tire. We towed a 25' 6000lb travel trailer for years with these tires (this is our 2nd set on this truck) and they are good solid towing tires. Sure a little pricey but I feel well worth it. Ran BF Goodrich KO 2's before when we lived on a dirt road but they were noisy and we don't need the aggressive tread now that we live with paved roads all the time.
