I have a 17 sport with open diffs 3.21 gearing I wanna switch it out for some sort of lsd. What is the best route to go with this part numbers would help. When switched does in work in series with the existing traction control and such do I need any other parts as well?

You'll want new carrier bearings & races.
LubeLocker gasket is the best way to seal the cover.

I put OEM in mine years ago. I view the OEM as light duty. Mine works fine.

Having said that, if I Wes t do it again, I’d spend a little more and put in a Tru Trac. First class is always a good choice.

Find a better shop. Or DIY as gear change are easy as pie. ;) and I see in your sig line that you have a custom tune already so just ask Jay for advise as you should have custom trans tuning already.

as for LSD , trutrac is the only way to go. OEM LSD is junk on a good day !

Thanks for getting back so fast guys! My diff needs a complete rebuild except the ring and pinion. Unfortunately Jay cant tune my trans since its locked out on my truck and no way to get in unless i get a new programmer. I do nothing but plow with this truck and make short trips now i just want it to last as long as It can at this point. 3.92's plus, tune, plus rain is a nightmere tho so i dont need a fancy lsd or locker i just need traction.

As others have started, have the TrueTrac LSD installed, then you won't have to worry about the differential and you'll get better traction as power will go to both rear wheels.
If the shop your dealing with is telling you the transmission needs to be programmed for a LSD, they're FoS .. go find a better shop

Think about it. The trans doesn't know or care if the diff is open, lsd, or solid lock, all it knows is there's a load to be driven. As others have said, if the shop tells you it's an issue, drive away FAST. Not too fast though, you could spin 1 wheel since you still have an open diff. :D
