P0456 Fault code and engine light RAM 1500 (2020) GAS

Hi!

I got an engine light on my RAM 1500 (2020) a couple weeks ago.

I used an OBD2 scanner to get these error codes last night.

How much will it cost to fix? I have the 100,000 kms 5 year powertrain warranty. (Currently 70k kms)

Will it be covered?

Will go to the dealership on Tuesday as its closed until then.

Any suggestions/tips/something I should be worry about?

I did have an issue with pumping gas about 1.5 years ago, for which they replaced the gas tank under warranty. The issue where the pump would click off and not pump fuel as fuel wouldnt go down in the tank fast enough. I have noticed the clicks again but not bad at all as it was back then. Just shuts off 1-2 times now when pumping and fuel goes down at normal rate.

Sounds like the evap canister vent filter may be your problem seeing you had filling problems in the past, its located on the filler neck, your purge valve is next to the throttle body.

Cost depends on if they diagnose it correctly. If they use the parts cannon, it will be more costly and may not be fixed on the first try. If they use a smoke machine, only the defective part(s) will be replaced and most likely fixed the first time.

Make sure they are using a smoke machine for the diagnosis. If they don’t know what a smoke machine is, run away.
