Paper or Cleanable Filter

ok guys basic question, i need a new air filter im debating getting a Cleanable filter such as spectre or just a paper one. main thing im wondering is if there is any MPG gain either way. not too interested in acceleration speed differences. thanks for the help guys

im sorry if this thread is already created somewhere else, if all your gonna do is say how i made a duplicate thread just dont say anything at all.

The gauze type filters, like K&N, actually work better as they get dirty, last over 100K miles, and work out cheaper than the disposable kind for their life span. Paper filters are more restrictive as they get dirty.

Just curious, why's that? And you have to be careful to not over oil them right?

I put the k&n type in all my cars. Cleaning kit is less than 20$ and even an idiot like me can do it.

appreciate the input guys i went with a spectre cleanable cus i cant justfy spending 55 bucks on an air filter
