First post here, but this forum has helped a lot.

Recently bought the truck with 185k miles on it, and have been experiencing a ton of transmission-related issues and all codes pointed to the PCM—cleaning the connectors didn’t work, so I replaced it altogether today. Seems to have worked.

However when removing the connectors I totally blanked on the little black lock tab, and when it came to reinstall them, 3/4 won’t snap in. 2 of those 3 still have the tabs attached, and don’t have any visible damage.

Am I doomed to zip ties at this point? Is RTV an option? Or is there any other fix short of replacing them altogether?

Any advice appreciated. Thanks!

Ive got an 04. Those connectors suck. I have actually went to junkyards and cut off extra connectors and repinned them as needed. The red locks suck.
