I second the sport tires. I have not found much that trips my trigger. I am thinking Michelin MS/2s or something in that arena. They just don't make to many hardcore truck performance tires, that can still tow. Contrary to popular opinion I dont think the RS-As are that bad. I have been pleased with them so far.

I'm running Cooper Zeon LTZ's on my 2011 crew cab, and I will likely just transfer the tires over to my new wheels on Friday. They are a sporty looking AT tire that have done well for me in all types of driving. I will either stay with those or get that same tire in a 275/60/20.

Made a little more progress today. I installed the S&B Intake, ported throttle body, and catch can under the hood. Then installed the Bak F1 bed cover out back...

I debated installing the black grille and tailgate emblems as well, but decided to have them paint matched instead. I will be dropping those off tomorrow with a few interior pieces to be color matched as well.

I just don't like the chrome on the emblems, so I want them gone. Mopar sells the front/rear emblems in gloss black, which is what I have here. After looking at it yesterday though, I just think it would look better if they were painted to match instead of just having a random black emblem right in the middle of a large blue tailgate.

Not much of an update, but I removed all the badges today except the Hemi badges (ran out of Goo Gone before I could finish). I also replaced the chrome tailgate emblem with a Black one. I decided to try this for now, but I'm really not happy with how it came out. The gloss black doesn't match anything else on the truck, so I'm going to go back to my initial plan to have the grille and tailgate emblems color matched.

I dropped off a set of our bolt on 5" tips with the powdercoater on Monday. I told him to coat them satin black. I will give him a shout tomorrow to see if he had a chance to finish them up. They should really complete the look on the back side of the truck.

Thanks guys. Today, I installed the black 5" tips and a 15" black antenna. So far the reception is about the same, but I haven't driven outside the city yet.





Jeremy at Retroshop sent me a little teaser of the new headlights as well, and they look amazing. I should have those around the middle of next week. My wheels are also delayed because the original company I bought them from was out of stock after telling me they had 5 sets available. Long story short, I had to order elsewhere, and tracking says they will be here on Wednesday.

When you compare the pictures with the stock tips and the pictures with the new tips, there is a difference of night and day. They sure fit into those cutouts well. I might try to post some alternative pictures of your(our) truck this weekend.

can you get a good picture of how the tips bolt on? Does it go all the way to the factory joint?

Jay, those stock tips look like toys next to the 5" tips. 5" definitely fills the cutouts in the bumper much better.
