I just had the pinion bearing replaced on my 09 Ram 1500 4x4 after 176,000 miles. It was covered under my lifetime powertrain warranty. It was making a howling sound that increased/decreased with speed.
3 weeks later, I am hearing the same noise again. When I first got it back it sounded normal, but I did hear a slight howl at 60 mph; thought maybe it was just the tires even though my Toyo ATs have never made any noise.
Anyone hear of a pinion bearing going out so soon after being replaced?
